STEP COLLECTION
The Step Collection derives inspiration from the grand pyramids at Teotihuacán built by the Aztecs, as well as Chichén Itzá, built by the Mayans, both located in Mexico. This collection of tabletop ware and cooking ware incorporates the most prominent visual present in the Mexican Pyramids, which are the steps. The design is subtly included in glass stands, pots and pans handles, plate edges, etc.
Pots and Pans: Stainless Steel, bakelite plastic, glass.
Plates and bowls: Porcelain.
Cups and Glasses: Molded Glass.
Serving Utensils and Coasters: Brushed brass.
This project was made in collaboration with fellow designers Renata Souza and Mathew Gale.
